Mike Kelliher is excited to be taking over the TAB Auckland North territory, building on three years of experience as a facilitator with The Alternative Board (TAB). He has established himself as a trusted partner to New Zealand’s SMB owners, bringing both international experience and local insight to help businesses grow and leaders thrive. Mike draws on more than a decade of operational leadership in finance, manufacturing, export, and professional services to guide clients toward sustainable growth and stronger alignment between vision, people, and performance.

Raised in East Auckland, Mike earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland before launching his career in accounting and finance. He spent ten years in the United States—working in San Francisco in accounting and investment roles—where he gained exposure to high-performing leadership cultures that continue to influence his coaching philosophy. Returning to New Zealand, Mike took on senior leadership roles in the SMB sector, specialising in helping businesses scale, sharpen strategy, and strengthen leadership. With TAB, he combines this international perspective with deep local understanding to help business owners unlock potential and steer with clarity.

When he’s not working with business owners, Mike takes full advantage of life in the North West region. His downtime includes golf at Huapia Golf Club, jet ski, fishing off Muriwai, and mountain biking through Riverhead Forest and Woodhill. These pursuits give Mike not just energy and perspective but also serve as reminders of what he often encourages his clients to build balance, adventure, and grounded connection to place.
